Country Range whips up a new range of delightful desserts

As caterers look to cost effective ways to widen their sweet offerings in tough times, Country Range has launched a new selection of delicious dessert mixes to give caterers even more sweet options.

Free from artificial colourings or flavourings, Country Range Delight’s provide three tasty, easy-to-prepare additions to menus, while their longer storage potential offer caterers an excellent space-saving alternative to free up valuable refrigerator space 1.

Martin Ward, Country Range brand manager, said: “Our new range of just add water delight mixes offer a light and tasty dessert alternative. Our aim was to introduce a dessert mix that was better than the brand leader in the marketplace. It looks like we’ve succeeded - each Country Range mix was independently product tested against the market leader and each one scored highest on taste, flavour and texture. The judging panel commented on the desserts’ ‘light and fluffy texture’ and more natural flavour and colouring.

“With many pudding favourites such as Arctic Roll making a comeback, our new range is bound to inspire diners to reminisce. These desserts give more options for operators, along with traditional favourites such as sticky toffee pudding and spotted dick. They are quick and easy to make, offer great value and are a really credible, better quality own brand alternative.

“With the continued pressure to keep costs down, while still providing good quality menu choices, caterers can reap the rewards from this new range.”

Available in three flavours: strawberry, banana and the perennial favourite, chocolate, the desserts can be simply made by just adding water for perfect results every time. They can be served plain or topped with fruit or coulis for added value.

Products are available in 6 x 600g, with each 600g sachet making 24 x 25g portions.
